Information about Arms

We sell arm products, which are multi-axis arms, with a gripper (like a hand). We sell them as kits (ready to be assembled, and sometimes as completely assembled and tested units.

The arms are comprised of the multi-axis arm, a base, a power supply system, connection cables, servo controller, and assembly instructions (with How-To tutorials.

The arm may be a stand-alone controlled by PC, or robot mounted controlled by the robot controller.

For control by PC, there is software that runs on the PC (RIOS-02 and SEQ-01).

Strings of servo control characters are received by the SSC (Serial Servo Controller), which converts the commands into the necessary signals to move the servo in question to the required position, and keep it there.

Control of the Arms is "open loop", that means that a command is sent to the arm, and is expected to be performed, and there is NO feedback to the controlling program. "Closed Loop" systems use some sort of sensor to provide feedback.
