About Crawler/Walker Robots
Information about Crawlers (also called Walkers)
A Crawler robot is a robot that moves about on legs (often with feet), and often look like insects or spiders.
The robot is designed with several actuators (often servos) on each leg. There will be four, or more often six or eight legs (for balance). The robot will have a controller mounted on it's back, and sensors on the front and maybe sides too.
The robot will be given the task of navigating an environment, all the while avoiding obstacles.
The crawler will have a controller which will determine it's movements depending on the job at hand, and the obstacles.
